Bovey castle last minute deals

Mention to Bovey Castle employee resulted in our being told that there was not much that could have been done about that. Had it not been for the For a top class country hotel we feel its service in these two areas was sub-par. As previous guests mentioned noise from cattle grid at entrance to Bovey Castle can be annoying but you get used to it. The staff and management at Bovey are absolutely amazing.

Feels like home here. Thank you to the entire team! The only disturbance are the loose elements of the cattle grid at the entance gate next to the house, in particular when people drive over it at excess speed, mainly employees. We have stayed here before and it was lovely to see this wonderful cottage in new clothes. We had a celebratory evening in the Bovey Castle restaurant and the night porter ferried us about. It is great to have an independent holiday and yet feel part of the hotel at the same time.

On arrival there was a very disturbing chemical smell from the bathrooms I suspect it was some kind of cleaner or disinfectant but it was very unpleasant. The smell took some time to disperse particularly as the secondary glazing meant that the upstairs windows could not be opened. Those teething issues aside, the location is fantastic, the hotel facilities are excellent and the surroundings are stunning.

The only thing missing were doors on the rooms downstairs which made it difficult containing a wet dog in one area! The setting is beautiful and the use of the hotel facilities made the stay. Compact fitted kitchen with jet black walls and downlighters reflecting on black granite worktops dishwasher, microwave, fridge, electric cooker. Upstairs stairgate , two light and bright bedrooms - a double 6' bed with walk-in dressing room, and a twin zip-linkable to 6' double. You are welcome to enjoy the hotel's pool children welcome 9am to 5. A delightful cottage with quirky interior decor. North Bovey: postcard-pretty village medieval church with tree-shaded green in the beautiful wooded valley of the mini River Bovey, two lane-miles from the spectacular open moor around Manaton or Moretonhampstead.
